The short version: Pirate Keys collects nothing. What you type stays on your phone.
Nothing. Pirate Keys doesn't collect anything about you or what you type, and it doesn't send anything anywhere.
Pirate Keys can't connect to the internet. It runs with Apple's "Full Access" permission turned off (RequestsOpenAccess = false), so iOS itself blocks the keyboard from the network and from shared storage.
The pirate translation runs entirely on your phone. When you press the skull key, the keyboard rewrites the text in the field you're typing in. Your original words stay in the keyboard's memory so a long press on the skull can bring them back. They're never written to storage or sent anywhere.
The keyboard remembers words you told it to stop autocorrecting. That list stays in the keyboard's own storage on your phone and goes away when you delete the app.
Pirate Keys has no ads, analytics or third-party code.
Pirate Keys doesn't collect data from anyone, kids included.
